Turtle Bay

27°51.746’N – 34°19.221’E

Similar to the other dive sites in this area we have a shallow sand plateau again. At the drop-off at a depth of 26m, we explore the reef slope with its low coral blocks which, at a depth of 15-23m, feature gorgonians at the level of the two larger coral towers. On the northern part of the route we cross a zone rich in stony corals and leather corals, forming a coral garden with a large salad coral and several large mushroom-shaped Porties corals at its edge.
OBSERVATIONS Acropora, gorgonia, soft corals, turbinaria, porties, butterfly fish, angelfish, anthias, squirrelfish. NOTES Local currents can sometimes occur.
